Castell is an artist of recognized reputation who lives in Buenos Aires. During an exhibition of his paintings he discovers a mysterious woman, Maria who has been dazzled by one of the works of art. Coincidentally, this work is one of Castell's favorites and he can't help but feel intensely attracted to the girl he just met, but when he gets close to her, she disappears. From that moment, the woman becomes an obsession for the painter and does everything in his power to achieve it. When he finally meets her again, a boundless love arises between the two, but what they don't know is that their relationship will not necessarily be a journey of roses.
