Eight patients, each obsessed with his/her own personal neuroses, receive group therapy from an elderly psychoanalyst. When she suddenly dies in the middle of a session, they feel orphaned and helpless. Alfredo, an obese fellow with religious obsessions, claims he is healed; the seven others decide to continue their group therapy, but they can't find a new shrink. So why not do the job themselves? Well, because that's easier said than done.
